At T Pots Pottery we can help you with all your firing needs.  We can fire one piece or an entire kiln load.  If your piece is large or wide, give us a call to see if it will fit in our kiln and/or for additional charges.

 

 

Kiln Firing Service

Don’t have a kiln, no problem.  Just bring your pieces, tell us what kind of clay and glaze you are using and we’ll fire it for you.  We can even clear glaze pieces for you for an additional charge.

 

Per piece rate for bisque and glaze fire:

Bisque (Cone 06) is $.03/cubic inch

Glaze (Cone 5 or Cone 06) is $.05/cubic inch

*$10 minimum charge

 

To Measure Cubic Inch of your piece-=

Length X Width X Height

 

Then multiple that number (cubic inch) by the firing rate

 

Example: A bowl 6” in diameter and 4” high

= $7.20 (glaze fire) $4.32 (bisque)

 

6x6x4= 144 cubic inches

 

144 cubic inches X .05 = $7.20

 

Typical turn out time for firing is typically 7-10 days

 

T Pots Pottery carries a large selection of Duncan Concepts underglaze which fires to both Cone 06 and Cone 5.

 

*T Pots Pottery can not be responsible for the final outcome of your project if the bisque, clay and/or glaze were purchased elsewhere.

 

Pieces will not be accepted if:   -Glaze is not removed from the bottom of the piece and 1/4” up the walls, greenware is wet or damp, plastic or paper is trapped in the  piece or the piece is not structurally sound.
